2021 Virtual Training Information
Looking forward to 2021 and understanding the delays that COVID-19 has caused, CECTH is offering Phase l virtually online and is hoping that this move will facilitate our educational platforms for all of us! The start date for this class is February 15 2021. Please read on for all of the details!
- The content will be divided into individual modules. Each module will be online for 2 weeks. Registrants will be able to move quickly through the material or take their time up to the 2-week deadline. There will be a quiz that will need to be taken at the completion of each module. As soon as the quiz is taken, the next module will open for the registrant so each person can study and complete the section at their own speed.
- There will be videotaped lectures that include PowerPoint. All related notes will be available in the module.
- There will be a Q&A discussion board monitored daily (except weekends) and group or individual discussions can be held.
- Topics in the modules will include the following:
Facility
The Team
The Horse, general and in therapeutic riding
Disabilities: Physical, Emotional/Behavioral, Intellectual, Spectrum Disorders (Autism), Speech, Language and Hearing
Goal Setting and Lesson Planning
This is a very comprehensive detail-oriented class with current industry standards and CECTH is excited to be able to bring this to you. Please know that you must have a consistent internet connection!! The registration form is attached for you to complete and send to the office. The form may also be sent via email to info@cecth.org along with your payment information. This form will also be on the website (cecth.org) this week. Connection and technology information will be sent upon registration.
Please note that Phase l will be available to audit and the registration form has been updated to include the auditor signup and fee. Auditors may choose to take all modules, minus the quizzes and receive approximately 10 Continuing Education hours. Full registrants must take all the modules along with the quiz at the completion of each module. To reach a passing grade, attendees must have an average of 80% or above for all of the quizzes. Registrants must submit a videotaped riding test to the CECTH Education committee at the email below prior to the end of 2021, or contact the office with concerns.
